"Why is it that going away is the standard? Does anyone ask why you stay, Sean Kendrick?"
"They do."
"And why do you?"
"The sky and the sands and the sea and Corr."
While reading Maggie Stiefvater's "The Scorpio Races" I fell so completely in love with Sean Kendrick that I just had to try my hand at drawing him. So I did a simple piece with markers depicting him with his capall uisce stallion, Corr. I loved the strong, close relationship between these two -- so much that it even pulled my interest away from the main romance of the book. Not that I didn't like Puck, or had anything against her and Sean's developing relationship, but the bond between Sean and Corr simply fascinated my a whole lot more
I had fun drawing this, particularly while working on the sketch. This is Sean Kendrick looking happy, by the way. (Bet you can't tell ) I like how his face turned out, but I'm not completely sure about the hair ... It might be too long, and it is, absolutely, way too red.
